Vermeil is a French term (pronounced ver-may, 18K Gold vermeil is a a Jewelry crafted with only  two premium materials: solid 925 sterling silver and a thick layer of 18k gold.

Because our Gold vermeil has a sterling silver base, tarnishing can occur with very acidic skin , but we use an extra thick layer of 18k gold plus two protective coating-one against oxidation and one against wear so its highly resistant.

Gold Vermeil is composed of two precious metals ( Gold and Silver)  and has a thicker layer of gold ......Gold Vermeil uses pure sterling silver metal that isn't as reactive as many other materials, People with allergies to certain metals should consider vermeil.
 
Gold plated jewelry base is a metal of lower quality such as copper or brass and plating is usualy a very low amount.

Use a soft polishing cloth to clean away any tarnish that may build up over time or to simply brighten the gold vermeil, In extreme cases use a soft-toothbrush, remove heave tarnish by rubbing the jewelry with warm water.
